Turn with me in your Bibles to the book of Genesis chapter four.
We’re going to begin with verse one. You may remain seated
today. Praise the Lord. And when you have it, signify by saying
amen. Reader.
1. And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare
Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD.
Uh huh. And Adam knew Eve, his wife, and they bare a son, and
his name was Cain. Uh huh.
2. And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of
sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.
3. And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of
the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD.
4. And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of
the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his
offering:
5. But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect . . .
Okay. The Lord respected Abel and his offering, but the Lord did
not respect Cain and his offering. Reader.
5. But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain
was very wroth, and his countenance fell.
6. And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is
thy countenance fallen?
7. If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou
doest not well, sin lieth at the door . . .
In other words, the Lord was saying, “If you do what I tell you to
do, will not I accept (glory to God) your offering?” Reader.
7. . . . And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over
him.
8. And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass,
when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his
brother, and slew him.
Amen. He rose up in the field, and he killed his brother. Reader
9. And the LORD said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And
he said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper?
10. And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's
blood crieth unto me from the ground.
Glory to God. We are going to entitle this message this morning
“The Voice of the Blood. The Voice of the Blood.” Let us pray.
Most Holy and gracious heavenly Father, we thank You for who
You are and for what You do. Master, hide Your son behind the
cross, that Your people would see and hear You only and not me.
And dear Lord, as I decrease I humbly ask that You would
increase. And Lord, let the words of my mouth and the meditation
of my heart be acceptable in Thy sight, oh Lord, my strength and
my Redeemer.
Look at verse ten. Reader.
10. And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's
blood crieth unto me from the ground.
Amen. We all know the story, and we just read it, of Cain and
Abel, and how he, Cain, killed his brother, Abel. But what struck
me as so peculiar was that after his body had returned to the dust
of the ground, his blood was still speaking.
In the book of First Corinthians chapter fourteen and verse ten, it
tells us that there are many voices that are in the world, but none
without signification. So when I read that I had to ask God, “What
was this man’s blood saying to You?” And God said his blood
was calling for vengeance and justice.
In Proverbs chapter six and verse seventeen, God began to show
me how He hated the shedding of innocent blood. “And how,
God, can this man’s blood,” I asked, “Be crying for vengeance and
justice?” Glory to God. “In Genesis chapter two and verse seven
it said that You formed man from the dust of the ground and
breathed into his nostrils the breath life, and man became a living
soul.”
And then God took me to Genesis chapter nine and verse four.
And God showed me that breath does not represent life, but blood
represents life. Amen, somebody. When God began to show me
this, God began to show me how much He regards blood. The
reason why He rejected the sacrifice of Cain was because it was
not a blood sacrifice. Can I get an amen?
In the book of Hebrews chapter nine and verse twenty-two, the
Bible lets us know that without the shedding of blood there is no
remission for sins. In other words, without the shedding of blood,
there can be no forgiveness.
How is this so important? Because in Matthew twenty-six and
verse twenty-eight Jesus said that His Blood was shed for the
remission or the forgiveness of sins.
Now, I want you to go with me to the book of John. John chapter
nineteen. Glory to God. John chapter nineteen. The voice of the
blood is still crying out. In John nineteen, reader please begin at
verse seventeen and verse eighteen.
17. And he bearing his cross went forth into a place called the
place of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha:
18. Where they crucified him, and two others with him, on either
side one, and Jesus in the midst.
Now, God began to give me this Scripture, because in Genesis
we found that Cain’s blood was spilled on the ground. And then
his blood cried out for vengeance and justice. But Jesus’ blood
was spilled on the ground. But His blood was crying out for
salvation and mercy. Come on, somebody.
You see, here we have a contrast. Because our blood (glory to
God) is always crying out for God (glory to God) to save us and
deliver us. But Jesus’ blood is always crying out for the world to
be saved and delivered, and to be set free. He cries out from the
ground of Golgotha for the salvation of man. And now we need to
understand that there is now power in the Blood.
Go with me to First John chapter one. Glory to God. First John
chapter one. And when you reach First John chapter one, I want
you to look at verse seven. Someone say amen. Reader.
7. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have
fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son
cleanseth us from all sin.
So now, therefore, His Blood was shed for us on Calvary. And
now we have cleansing from sin because of the Blood of Jesus.
Amen. But in order for us to walk in this place, we have got to,
the Bible says, walk in the light, for He is in the light. The Bible
lets us know that there can be no dark places in us. Amen,
somebody. And God is speaking to us this morning, because the
Blood of Jesus has come to cleanse us, so now we can walk in
the light, and we can have fellowship with God. Amen,
somebody.
Go to Romans chapter five. Romans chapter five. Glory to God.
The blood still has a voice. In Romans chapter five, when you
have it say amen. Reader, verse nine.
9. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be
saved from wrath through him.
10. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by
the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be
saved by his life.
11. And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord
Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.
Glory to God. So here we find that the Blood of Jesus, it justifies
us. In other words, it allows us to be justified in the sight of God.
Because without the shedding of Blood, remember, Hebrews nine
and twenty-two, there could be no forgiveness of sins. And now
every time the Father looks at us, He sees the Blood. Come on,
somebody. He doesn’t see the sinners (glory to God) that we
used to be. He doesn’t see the old man that we used to walk in.
But now He sees the Blood of Jesus covering us. So now we can
say, “Father, forgive me in the Name of Jesus,” and Jesus is
saying, “That one belongs to you, because He’s now covered by
My Blood.” Look at your neighbor and say, “I’m now covered by
the Blood.”
Now it also says it is the atonement. Amen. In other words, it is
the at-one-ment. Amen. In other words, it allows us to be at one
with Christ. Come one. The Bible says that we are seated
where? In heavenly places in Christ Jesus. Now this Blood hath
allowed us to be raised up to rule and to reign with Christ. Glory
to God in this house.
So here we are with the Blood of Jesus. First John one and
seven told us that it cleansed us. Romans chapter five, verse
nine through verse eleven tells us that it justifies us, and it gives
us the atonement. Glory to God.
Now go with me to Romans chapter one. Why is this important
this morning? It’s important because a lot of times we come to
church, but we don’t understand what the Blood of Jesus has
done for us. We’ve heard them sing about the Blood, but now we
have to have clarity and understanding about the blood. Look at
your Bibles. Look at verse six.
6. Among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ:
7. To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints:
Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus
Christ.
8. First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your
faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.
9. For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the
gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you
always in my prayers;
10. Making request, if by any means now at length I might have a
prosperous journey by the will of God to come unto you.
11. For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some
spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established;
Amen. So now we see that they are the called of Jesus Christ.
And now we see that we are the called of Jesus Christ. Amen,
somebody. And God is saying to us this morning that since we
are the called of Jesus Christ, the world should recognize who we
are. Glory to God. I’m not just like everybody else out there in
the world, because like I said earlier, I’ve been bought with a
price. My life is not my own; therefore, not my will, but His will be
done. Glory to God. I’ve been bought with the precious Blood of
Jesus Christ. Glory to His Name.
We are the called of Jesus Christ, because of the Blood. It’s
because of the Blood that I’m no more the enemy of God. It’s
because of the Blood that I have liberty in Christ Jesus, and I can
come in and out and find pasture. It’s because of the Blood. It’s
not because I’m so wonderful. It’s not because I’m so marvelous,
but it’s because of the Blood.
Let me tell you something. The Blood gives us power to
overcome. In Revelations (go there with me) chapter twelve. And
when you have it, signify by saying amen. Look at verse eleven.
Reader.
11. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb . . .
They overcame him by what? The Blood of the Lamb. They
overcame him by what? The Blood of the Lamb. You see, you’ve
got to understand that you have become an overcomer because
of the Blood of the Lamb. Now, the enemy belongs under where?
The only way we can keep him in his place is by overcoming him
by the Blood of Jesus. That’s why you hear saints always saying,
“I plead the Blood of Jesus.” You see, you’ve got to understand
the power that’s in the Blood. If you’re not pleading the Blood of
Jesus, every now and then that devil is going to overtake you.
But once you say, “The Blood of Jesus against you,” that devil’s
got to back up off of you.
They overcame the devil by the what? You see, I can’t overcome
the devil for you. You have got to have a relationship with the
Blood of Jesus for yourself. And you have a right as a child of
God to be able to plead the Blood of Jesus. And that’s why when
the Bible says we wrestle not against flesh and blood, when the
enemy tries to come through somebody that’s flesh and blood,
you need to just stand there and say, “The Blood of Jesus. The
Blood of Jesus.” Has anybody ever had to say, “The Blood of
Jesus”?
You see, the enemy is acting up in your house right now, because
you forgot to plead the Blood of Jesus. Yes, you’ve been praying.
The enemy’s been acting up on your job, and yes, you’ve been
praying on your job, but you haven’t been saying, pastor, “The
blood of Jesus is against you, Satan.”
The Bible says, reader . . .
11. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the
word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the
death.
Glory to God. They overcame him by the Blood of the Lamb and
the what? Word of their testimony. You’ve got to have a
testimony. Do you hear what I’m saying? You’ve got to have a
testimony. How many of you in here this morning desire to be
victorious? Then that means that you have got to have a story
about how Jesus came and saved you and set your feet on a
rock, once He delivered you out of the muck and the miry clay.
Come on, somebody, in this place today. I’ve got a testimony
about what the Blood of Jesus has done for me in my life. It’s the
Blood. It’s the Blood.
But we’re taking . . . When we talk about the Blood, we’re talking
about overcoming by the Blood of Jesus, and then we talk about
the Word of our testimony. But the third part to this Scripture
says, reader . . . “And they loved not their lives unto the death.”
Wait a minute. Wait a minute. The Bible said if I try to save my
life, then I’m going to what? So why are we constantly trying to
save our lives? The Bible said they overcame him because they
loved not their lives unto the death. Hello, somebody. They came
into a place of relationship with God that they understood that
even if He doesn’t deliver me I’m still not going to bow my knee, in
the Name of Jesus. I know to whom I have to do, and I know to
whom I serve, and God shall be glorified.
So this changes the picture in here today. Because some of us
have been trying to save our own lives. And some of us come to
church because we’re trying to save our own lives. But you got to
understand that your already an overcomer by the Blood of the
Lamb and the word of your testimony, and you understand that
you belong to God.
The Blood is speaking. It’s the Blood, evangelists. It’s the Blood.
When there’s a strong man present, because of the stronghold
that has been there, even for generations in our families . . . Does
anybody have any of those? See, you’ve got to learn how to
plead the Blood. You’ve got to learn to say, “Devil, you’re a liar.
You’ve got to dislodge yourself right now. The Blood of Jesus is
against you.”
There’s power in the Blood. We plead the Blood of Jesus
seasonally. Amen. We say, “I plead the Blood of Jesus.” It
comes in seasons. But see, we’ve got to learn how to plead the
Blood all the time. We’ve got to understand that the Blood of
Jesus is one of our weapons of war. Come on, somebody.
It’s the Blood. It’s the Blood. Demons have got to flee because of
the Blood. The Blood of Jesus is speaking on our behalf even
now.
You remember in the book of Exodus, from chapter nine to
chapter twelve the Bible was letting us know that Pharaoh was not
going to let God’s people go. It was saying that God kept
hardening Pharaoh’s heart. But God sent a plague called the
death angel. And the death angel was to come and smite the
firstborn of every one that did not have what on the door? It’s the
Blood that’s going to protect your house. Oh, I feel the Glory of
God. You’ve been looking for protection from ADT and all of
these alarm places, but let me tell you about the Blood of Jesus.
When they put the blood over the lintel of the door, death had to
pass by. And I don’t know about you, but I’ve got the blood over
the lintel of my door. I’ve got the blood . . . Oh, my God. Do you
hear what I’m saying? Covering, covering. It’s the Blood.
Don’t take this message lightly today, because you’ve got some
demons, some enemies, some foes that are trying to destroy you
and take you out. And God is giving you some wisdom this
morning. He said, “Go through that place like a whirlwind, and
plead the Blood of Jesus.” It’s the Blood. It’s still speaking. It’s
still speaking from Calvary. Over two thousand years ago the
Blood start speaking. It started speaking for us, and not against
us.
The Blood of Jesus is covering you today. He said, “Use it.” He
said, “Use it.” He said, “There’s power in My Blood.” Understand
this today. Don’t leave out of here . . . Some of you need to say
the Blood of Jesus right now, because that devil’s been busy.
That devil’s been trying to take everything from you. He’s been
trying to destroy you. He’s been trying to hold you down. He’s
been trying to hold you back. He’s been trying to mess with your
children. He’s been . . . Oh, my God. Somebody shout, “The
Blood.” It’s the Blood. It’s the Blood. It’s the Blood of Jesus. It’s
the Blood of Jesus. It’s the Blood of Jesus.
Sometimes you got to plead the Blood over your mind, don’t you?
The Blood of Jesus over your thoughts. The Blood of Jesus. The
Blood of Jesus.
Isn’t it ironic how we start talking about the Blood around Easter
time? Isn’t that so ironic? But we need to talk about the Blood all
year long. The Blood has done so much for us. It is still
speaking.
Cain’s blood was within him, but he spilled the Blood of his
brother. In Proverbs six and seventeen remember God said the
shedding of innocent blood was one of the things that He hates.
We of the body of Christ have got to stop shedding innocent
blood.
When they were taking Jesus to trial, Pilate couldn’t rest, could
he? The Bible said he was trouble all night long. And when they
wanted to crucify Jesus, he said, “What has He done, that I find
no accusation against Him that’s true? What has He done?” And
he washed his hands of His Blood. And the foolishness of the
people said, “Let His Blood be upon us, and upon our children.”
The Blood of Jesus was shed for us, but it was innocent Blood.
He had not done anything wrong. He had not said anything
wrong. But He understood His mission, that He was to come and
die for the sins of the people. The Bible said that if they had
known, they wouldn’t have crucified the Lord of glory. But that’s
what He came for, to be crucified.
And the Bible says now He has sent us out as lambs among
wolves. But even on the cross, He said to the Father, “Forgive
them, for they know not what they do.” So we’ve got to get to the
place, like Jesus, that when they shed our innocent blood, we’ve
got to say, “Forgive them, for they know not what they do.”
Able never knew Jesus. That’s why his blood was crying out for
vengeance and justification. But you know Jesus. And there are
some folk that have wronged you. And some of us are crying out,
“Lord, avenge me.” But He’s looking for somebody to cry out,
“Lord, forgive them, for they know not what they’ve done.” You
just didn’t know who you were, or else they would not have
crucified you. Do you hear me today?
Without the shedding of blood there could be no remission; there
could be no forgiveness. There are some folks in here today that
need to forgive some people. If God is talking to you . . . Every
head bowed, every eye closed.
If you’re holding some unforgiveness, and you need to let go, I
want you to come down to this altar today, and I want you to be
real about it. I want you to be so awesomely real. Oh, I feel the
anointing of God. I feel the anointing of God. This is real today.
This is real today.
For while you’re standing at this altar . . . I feel His holy Presence.
I want your soul to cry out, “Lord, forgive them, for they know not
what they’ve done.” The Lord knows he didn’t do you right. The
Lord knows she didn’t do you right. The Lord knows that job
walked all over you. The Lord knows that your family wasn’t there
for you. He knows. And now you’ve got to say, “Forgive them, for
they know not what they’ve done.”
Father, we come to You today humbling ourselves, for we
understand that You told us to forgive, that we might be forgiven.
And we stand before You as people who’ve had their innocent
blood shed. And even we might stand before you as people that
are guilty of shedding others’ innocent blood, whichever the case
may be. We forgive them. We ask that You would forgive us.
Help us, God, in those places where it’s gotten hard, and it’s
become stony ground. Break up that fallow ground within us
today, God. Purge us, wash us, heal us, deliver us, set us free.
But God, we desire to be free, for whom the Son has made free is
free indeed, God. And we need you.
And God, where we have been upset and angry with You,
because we’ve felt You should have done something, and we felt,
God, Lord God, that You haven’t done what You needed to do,
Lord God, to let them know that they don’t put their hands to us,
forgive us for that. Forgive us, Lord. Wash us today. Cleanse us
today. We repent. Give us clean hands today, and a pure heart.
And where we shed innocent blood, God, forgive us. And where
You told us to speak a word to somebody, and we didn’t, and the
blood was on our hands, God, take the blood off; wash it today;
forgive us for not opening up our mouths. We thank You. And we
receive it today by faith. In Jesus’ Name.
Give the Lord a handclap of praise. Hallelujah. Yes. It’s about
the Blood, isn’t it? Now, you may be someone here today that
has heard this message, and you need something outside of flesh
and blood to fight for you. You need the blood of Jesus to fight for
you, but you don’t know Jesus like that, but you want to know
Him. In other words, you want to be saved. Or you may be
someone that has backslidden, and you’re living the old like that
you used to live. And you’re all tangled up in it like a web, and
you can’t find a way out. If you want to be saved today, or you’re
backslidden, I want you to come down today, unashamed,
unafraid. Hallelujah. The doors of the church are open today. If
you want to be saved, heaven’s not a bad place to be. I want to
know that I know that I know that I have eternal life, that I, when I
leave this place, will be with Him. Is there one? Is there one
today?
Give the Lord another handclap of praise. Hallelujah. Hallelujah.
Hallelujah.
If you do not have a church home, or you’re looking for a church
home, the Lord is directing your footsteps to this place. You
desire to be under the watchful care of a prophet or pastor,
speaking to your life, into those dark places and into those dry
places, that you might live, then stand up today.
Somebody give the Lord another handclap of praise today.
Somebody say, “The Blood. The Blood. The Blood.” The Blood
of Jesus. Amen. We thank God for His Word. And we’re going
to carry this Word. Glory to God. And we’re going to take this
Word with us everywhere we go. We’re going to understand that
it was the Blood.
