Give Your people ears to hear and eyes to see today. I thank
You, God, that as we receive the Word of God, that we would
understand that it is to come inside of us and make a change for
the better and for the good.
I thank You, God, that You’re hiding Your son behind the cross,
that Your people would see and hear You only, and not me. Lord
God, I’m decreasing right now that You would increase, Master.
And Lord, I humbly ask that You would take the words of my
mouth and the meditation of my heart, that they would be
acceptable in Thy sight, oh Lord, my strength and my Redeemer.
Father, I thank You that every demonic force is bound on today.
Lord God, that You have commanded us to submit to the Word,
Lord God, and to submit to Your Spirit, God. And we submit
ourselves under the authority of the Holy Spirit, to lead us and
guide us today, into all truth. In Jesus’ Name.
And the people of God said amen. Please stand to your feet and
lift your Bibles high in the air this morning.
This is my Bible. I am who it says I am. I can do what it says I
can do. And because of this Word I am made whole. Because of
this Word I am delivered. Because of this Word I am victorious.
Because of this Word I walk in prosperity. In Jesus’ Name, amen.
Turn in your Bibles with me to the book of Exodus. The book of
Exodus.
On Friday night we came from the subject “Against All Odds.” We
came from the subject “Against All Odds,” how we will make it,
though all odds are against us. Amen. Amen. This morning
we’re going to come from the subject “One-Way Deliverance.
One-Way Deliverance.”
In the book of Exodus chapter one. When you have it, signify by
saying amen. Look at verse one. It said:
1. Now these are the names of the children of Israel, which came
into Egypt; every man and his household came with Jacob.
2. Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah,
3. Issachar, Zebulun, and Benjamin,
4. Dan, and Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.
5. And all the souls that came out of the loins of Jacob were
seventy souls: for Joseph was in Egypt already.
6. And Joseph died, and all his brethren, and all that generation.
7. And the children of Israel were fruitful, and increased
abundantly, and multiplied, and waxed exceeding mighty; and the
land was filled with them.
8. Now there arose up a new king over Egypt, which knew not
Joseph.
Everybody say, “A new king.” Look at verse nine.
9. And he said unto his people, Behold, the people of the children
of Israel are more and mightier than we:
10. Come on, let us deal wisely with them; lest they multiply, and
it come to pass, that, when there falleth out any war, they join also
unto our enemies, and fight against us, and so get them up out of
the land.
Look at verse eleven.
11. Therefore they did set over them taskmasters to afflict them
with their burdens. And they built for Pharaoh treasure cities,
Pithom and Raamses.
12. But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and
grew. And they were grieved because of the children of Israel.
You may be seated in the house of the Lord.
After the death of the man of God, Joseph, the children of Israel
had become a people that worshiped many different gods. I’m
going to say that again. After the death of the man of God,
Joseph, under this new system with the Pharaoh (glory to God)
the children of Israel began to worship many different other gods,
because they had no longer the direction that they used to have.
They had no longer the guidance that they once had. They began
to look to these lifeless idols to deliver them and to set them free
from the bondage.
Let me explain to you what Joseph represented. You see, Joseph
represented a generation that knew God. Amen, somebody. And
they knew God as Jehovah. They knew God as a deliverer, as a
provider, and as a way maker. For he had found himself (talking
about Joseph) in many a fix, and that only the one and true and
living God could deliver him out of. Can I get a witness today?
You see, in the book of Genesis chapter thirty-seven, Joseph
found (glory to God) that he was hated and his brothers were
jealous of him. They sold him into slavery.
And in the book of Genesis chapter thirty-nine he was framed as a
rapist. Do you hear what I’m saying today? And sent into prison
by Potiphar’s wife. But the Bible also said in Genesis thirty-nine
and verse twenty-one that the Lord was with Joseph and showed
him mercy and gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the
prison.
You see, when you recognize that God is the only way, there is
nothing that you cannot be delivered from. Come on, somebody.
You see, the children of Israel, they were under a new system.
They were used to the system (glory to God) that Joseph was
under. But the Bible said that Joseph died, and there arose a new
Pharaoh that brought along a new system.
You see, we in the body of Christ, we’ve got to understand that
we’re not supposed to be in the world’s system. Amen,
somebody. But God through His Son, Jesus Christ, has delivered
us from the world’s system. Because the world’s system seeks to
control your every move. I don’t care if you don’t say amen. I’m
going to preach anyhow.
You got to understand that welfare was never meant for a . . .
Oh, my God. It wasn’t never meant for a child of God. But you
see, the system will cause you to be comfortable. Come on,
somebody. The system will allow you to move when it tells you to
move, to do what it tells you to do, to say what (oh, my God) it
wants you to say. Because it has become an idol. God, give Him
praise today.
“So what are you saying, pastor? Are you saying to people that
are on welfare that you’re wrong?” I’m not saying that you’re
wrong. But you need not to make welfare your god. Oh, I wish I
could get somebody to understand the Word of God today.
You see, the system is set up (glory to God) to control you. I
don’t care (glory to God) what the system says in this world.
Because I have a system (glory to God) that’s not of this world.
I’m not going to be controlled by this system, because I have my
allegiance to a system that this system cannot understand. Glory
to God.
They had become complacent. Look at your neighbor and say, “I
refuse to be complacent.” They had become stagnant. They had
become in a place where they thought that they were supposed to
be in bondage. Am I talking to anybody in this house? They
thought that bondage was supposed to be a way of life.
Let me explain something to you, child of God. Jesus came that
you might have liberty. The Bible tells me to stand fast in the
liberty wherewith Christ has made me free, and not to be again
entangled with the yoke of bondage. I wish I had a witness in the
house of God. You were never meant to be controlled by the
system of the world.
They found themselves complacent, thinking within themselves
that this is the way it’s always going to be. You see, you may be
in poverty right now, but see, the Word of God is coming into you
today, that You would understand that He never meant for you to
be in poverty. Don’t you understand that He calls us kings and He
calls us priests? We are supposed to walk in prosperity. We are
supposed to be a royal priesthood. We are supposed to be the
head and not the tail. We’re supposed to be above and not
beneath. Do you hear what I’m saying, child of God? You need
to tell that devil he’s a liar, and you refuse to be controlled.
We have too many saints of God operating under Pharaoh’s
system. And we’ve been operating under Pharaoh’s system for
so long that when I get up here and preach about Kingdom
principles, you can’t understand it, because you’re not yet at a
place where you understand that where you are was never the
intent that God had for you to be.
But once you begin to get a revelation that all that is around you,
not only you are supposed to be blessed, then you’ll say to
yourself . . . You’ll come to yourself and say, “Wait a minute. It’s
not supposed to be like this. I got a God “ (my God, somebody)
“that’s a King of kings and a Lord of lords. And if He’s in royalty,
I’m supposed to be in royalty too.” Stand on your feet and give
God a praise.
The mentality has got to change. The mentality of the child of
God (you may be seated) has got to change. You’ve got to
understand that you’re in this world, but you’re not of this world. I
need to say that again. In other words, you’re just a pilgrim
passing through. Do you understand? I’m trying to break a yoke
in the house of God today.
You’re in this world, but you’re not of this world. In other words,
God has meant for you to come out of the world’s system. The
world is not supposed to what? Control your every move. Do you
hear what I’m saying? It’s not supposed to tell me where I can
live and where I can’t live. Oh, my God. I wish I had a witness in
the house of God today.
The children of Israel, the Bible said that they were going to be in
bondage for four hundred years. Four hundred years.
Generation after generation in bondage. Why? Because they
didn’t know who their Deliverer was. You see, if you don’t know
who your Deliverer is, then you’re going to stay (oh, my God) in
that place where you are. But Jesus said in John fourteen and
verse six, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.” You got to
understand that there is a way out. Look at your neighbor and
say, “There’s a way out.” There’s a way out.
And God sent a man named Moses to tell them who this deliverer
was. He began to minister that the people of God would be able
to come out from under this hard taskmaster. He began to do
what God instructed him to do, that the people would understand
that it’s time to get rid of all of those gods. Because those gods
can’t heal you no way. They had gods of stone and of gold and of
silver.
And if you’re pressing towards the gods of silver and gold, let me
tell you something, those gods may work for a little while, but get
in trouble; need somebody to hold you; need somebody to
comfort you. There’s no comfort like there is in Jesus.
And they were delivered. I feel You, God.
And so here we have the man of God. And he comes. And he’s
a deliverer, a form of Christ to them. And he begins to deliver
them out of that system. And he brings them to the Red Sea, and
there is a wall that they cannot pass through. And so God begins
to work miracles. He begins to part the sea, that they would
understand and see who God is, that He’s all powerful, and that
there’s nothing impossible for Him. He began to work miracle
after miracle, one after the other, just to prove who He is. Do you
hear what I’m saying? Everything that He did said, “I am that I
am.” Oh, my God. I wish I could preach somebody happy today.
Oh, my God.
So He began to work miracle after miracle. But let me tell you
something. If you get locked in a system for too long that’s not of
God, it takes a while before you can break that yoke, that you can
break that mentality.
In the book of Numbers chapter eleven, the Bible said that they
were in the wilderness. And it was a dry place. But God was
feeding them manna from heaven. And they didn’t like the diet
that God put them on, because God was trying to get their flesh to
a place where it would submit to God. Oh, my God, somebody.
But they didn’t like that diet.
Let me tell you something. When God delivers me, whatever diet
God wants to put me on, God can put me on it. But they began to
reminisce, “We remember when we were back in Egypt.” Egypt
(oh, my God) means bondage. “And how we did eat the fish” (oh,
my God) “and the garlic and the onions.” They began to
reminisce about bondage.
Let me explain something to you, child of God. Once you come
out of this system, and though you go into a hard place, you need
to refuse to go back into bondage. I don’t care what the situation.
I don’t care what the circumstance. Look at your neighbor and
say, “Don’t look back.”
God was showing them a new system. And though God was
working it out for them, they still looked back. Don’t you know . . .
Let me explain this to you. Don’t you know that the government,
this system of this world knows how to feed you, to keep you in a
place where you will (oh, my God) serve it? Because the way to a
person, most of the time, is through their appetite. And it’s just
like government stamps. I know people that are one person in the
house, and they’re getting like three and four and five hundred
dollars worth of stamps, because this system wants you to think
that it’s a blessing when it’s a curse. You better bless God in this
house.
The system had them in bondage because of their appetite. The
system will keep you in bondage because of your appetite. You
don’t hear me. That’s why people that are on welfare . . . Now, if
you’re on welfare, don’t you get mad at me today. I’m trying to
teach you something. When you look at their buggy, they have
steaks. Oh, you don’t want to hear me. They got pork chops.
They got leg of lamb. You don’t . . . Oh, they eat better than you
do, because the system is trying to keep them in bondage by their
appetite.
And that’s why when they begin to go through a hard place, after
God has delivered them from the hard task master, they
remembered how they used to eat when they were under the old
system.
A lot of you have come to Christ, and Satan has tried to steal
everything from you. And now . . . Listen. And now you’re
looking back when you used to be in bondage. I hear people say,
“Well, I used to have this, and I used to have that.” But God didn’t
give it to you. I would rather wait on the blessing of the Lord than
make it rich and out of no sorrow with it. I wish you would get up
and praise God in this house today.
Look at your neighbor and say, “I’m coming out. I’m coming out.
I’m coming out. I’m coming out.” You can stand there like you
don’t hear what I’m saying if you want to, but I’m coming out. I’m
not going to be controlled by this system. I’m not under a hard
taskmaster that doesn’t understand and feel the infirmity that I go
through. I’m up under Jesus.
They were under a system that controlled them. The environment
that they were in kept them depressed and oppressed. The
system out here is designed to keep you depressed and
oppressed. And it’s designed to keep you down. It’s designed to
say, “If you do what I tell you to do, then you’ll have something to
eat and a place to stay. But if you don’t do what I tell you to do,
you’re going to start, and you’re going to be outside.” But I don’t
know about you. I saw Jehovah Jireh, and oh, my God, He’s the
Lord God, my Provider. He’s El Shaddai, and He’s the God of
more than enough.
Listen to this word today. (You don’t have to play.) Listen to this
word today, because we’ve got to grab a hold of it. We’ve got to
grab a hold of this word today. Because I don’t know about you,
but I’m saying to myself, “Enough is enough.” You can get upset
today if you want to, and you can stay in the bondage that you’re
in. But I refuse to be bound when I’ve been made free. I’m
saying today, “Enough is enough.”
I know who my Deliverer is. I know that cattle on a thousand hills
belongs to Him. I know that the earth is the Lord’s and the fulness
thereof, the world and everything that dwells therein. I know my
God has (my God), has blessed me (glory to God) in heavenly
places with Christ Jesus. I understand my inheritance. I
understand that the manifestation is first in the spirit before it
comes into the natural. I understand that I pray, and when I pray
He hears me; and therefore, there are results. If I learn how to
wait on God, I’m going to see . . . Oh, my God. I wish somebody
would catch on fire.
One-way deliverance. One-way deliverance. You can’t make a
phone call to no man to get delivered. You need to call on Jesus.
You need to call on El Shaddai. Don’t you understand that He’s
Jehovah Raphe, your Healer? He’s Jehovah Shalom, your peace.
Do you understand that today, that He’s Jehovah Shamma? He’s
always there. Do you hear what I’m saying to you today? You
don’t have to go looking for Him, because He’s right with you right
now. And whatever you need He’s able to supply it.
He delivered them from the system. You may be seated. And He
told them, He said, “I’m going to give you a land flowing with milk
and honey.” And so they sent out spies to spy out the blessing
that God had for them. But everybody that was sent out, except
for two–Joshua and Caleb–came back with an evil report.
When I begin to tell you what God is going to do, and you’re
looking in the natural, and you begin to say, “I don’t see it,” I know
you don’t see it, because you’re trying to look through the carnal
realm. But if you would ask God to open up your eyes to spiritual
things, you would begin to see the grapes. Do you hear what I’m
saying? You will begin to see the fertile soil and the fertile land
that God has prepared for you. But you have got to come out of
that old system and begin to give God glory, even when you don’t
know what’s going to happen next.
They were in a different system. What system are you in today?
What system are you under? When I talk to people a lot of times,
they say . . . I say, “How you doing?”
They say, “I’m trying to make it,” or, “I’m making it.”
That’s never my testimony. I’m blessed coming in, and I’m
blessed going out. You see, you can’t judge me by what you see
right now. Because it ain’t over until He says it’s over. Oh, my
God, somebody. You see I don’t go around with a face of
mourning. You can tell when a lot of people are going through
something, because their face is in a place of mourning. You can
tell people when they need some money, because their face is all
in a place where it’s always down.
But you don’t never know when I have a need. Do you hear what
I’m saying? You never know, because I’m the same as when I’m .
. . Oh, my God. You don’t hear me today. You don’t see my face
down on the ground because I need finances. I’m going to stay
the same. I’m going to be on top of Mount Zion whether I have or
whether I don’t have. Come on. Praise Him today.
Come out of your pity party today, and let your light shine. How is
somebody going to get saved looking at your prune face? How is
somebody going to see the Christ in you when your face always
carries a frown? How is somebody going to be drawn to Jesus,
when on the Job you’re constantly complaining.
A lot of times we as saints, we complain more on the job than the
people that are unsaved. And sometimes we cause more
commotion than the people that are unsaved. We gossip more
than the people that are unsaved. Oh, you don’t want to hear me,
but I’m going to preach it anyhow.
He’s speaking to us today. He’s saying that system that you’re
trying to operate in, He’s not going to bless you. Blue Cross and
Blue Shield doesn’t sign your check. Saint Francis doesn’t sign
your check. Jesus signs your check.
And see, when we begin to get the mentality that He was able to
turn water into wine, that He was able to feed all that multitude
with the fishes and the loaves, that we deal with a God of
multiplication, when we begin to understand that He’s able to work
miracles, one after the . . . When we get that revelation that He
can do anything, then we can be like Paul, that whatsoever state
we’re in, we can be content. Give Him praise today. Give Him
praise today.
If you’re depending on the system, you’re making a mistake.
Notice I said depending on. If you’re depending on this world’s
system to get you by, you’re making a mistake. I feel the
Anointing. If you’re depending on Pharaoh to feed you, then
you’re making a mistake.
Don’t you understand that at any time Pharaoh can cause you to
have to get the mark? Do you understand what I’m saying? That
you may be able to eat yourself and to feed your family, don’t you
understand that he can give it to you and then take it back from
you when he gets ready? But if you get fed by the Word of God,
He can turn your nothing into something.
He delivered them. He was trying to show them that you don’t
have to be in bondage to be blessed. Somebody needs to hear
that today. You don’t have to be in bondage to be blessed. It’s
time to turn everything over to Kingdom principles. It’s time. It’s
time to change our mentality. I feel the Anointing of God.
Somebody needs to hear this today. Because in this season we
depend on income tax checks, don’t we? And we’re looking for it.
There’s nothing wrong with looking for that income tax check. But
see, but if you’re looking for it the wrong way, it has become a
god. You don’t want to hear it. And it’s controlling you. And you
know when you send it in, they say it’s going to take four to six
weeks, and you’re going to check that mailbox every time. And
every time it’s not there, you’re going to get disappointed.
God doesn’t operate like that. If God says you’re blessed, then
you’re blessed before you get the income tax check. I’m trying
this morning to change our mentality. I’m trying to get us to a
place that we will understand that whether we have it now or we
don’t it doesn’t not constitute whether or not He is who He says
He is.
Come out of the system. Get out of the system. Get out of it.
We’ve all made mistakes. We’ve all been on the brink, most of us
of being debt free. And then we go back out and say, “I’m just
going to get this.”
“Well, you can, you know, if you get a credit card and you put it on
credit today, you can get an extra ten percent along with that forty
percent that’s already marked down.” And we begin the cycle all
over again. We were almost there, but temptation is so great that
we yielded ourselves to the system again.
Don’t you understand how strong the system is? It plays on your
mind. It plays on your mind. It plays on you. It tells you that it’s
going to be alright when it’s setting you up for failure. It’s meant
to set you up for failure. That’s the way it is. And that’s why we
have to understand that there’s only one way to get delivered.
What gods are you serving this morning? What God is controlling
you right now? Let me tell you that when you make those bills
and you can’t pay them, it’s a part of the strategy of Satan,
because he controls the system to keep you in bondage, that
when they call your house, and you look at the caller ID and you
say, “Uh, uh. I know who that is.” And then you were happy, and
then all of a sudden that false joy leaves.
Come out of the system. Work your way out of the system. Do
what you need to do to get out of the system. And when you’re
debt free, don’t go back into the system. Because there’s no one
in here that’s at the age right now where they cannot come out of
the system. There are results in prayer.
At Columbus State I’ve seen people in my classes that were sixty
and above. Do you understand what I’m saying? It’s never too
late to do anything. Because if they can go to that school, then
you can come to this school. Come on, saints.
We’re saints of God, and He never meant for our heads to be
hung low, wondering how we’re going to make it. He never meant
for it to be that way. We’ve made mistakes along the way. We’ve
made mistakes. There are areas where we’ve been just, we
might as well say childish. In certain areas we have childish
mistakes. But when I became a man I put away what? Childish
things. In other words, when I become mature, I begin to put
away childish things. I begin to be able to wait on God.
You see, I understand that a lot of times what’s instant is not
nutritious; it’s not going to bless me. Do you understand?
Sometimes I need to wait. I need to put something in the oven
every now and then. Nobody wants to spend that time waiting for
it to be done. Nobody wants to say that money. Save it up (glory
to God) until they can what they want to get. Everybody wants it
right now. Why? Because we want to keep up with the Joneses.
But let me tell you something. The Joneses are going to keep you
in bondage. Do you hear what I’m saying today? Are you alright?
Do you hear what I’m saying today?
Hear this word. Hear this word. In Numbers He had delivered
them. He had delivered them. He began to bring the food down
from heaven. And He put them on a diet that was going to bless
them. But it wasn’t what they wanted, so they began to look back.
They began to look back.
How many folks we got looking back? (It’s alright. He’s alright.)
How many folks have begun to look back? We’re looking back in
the past, forgetting about how we were in bondage to that thing,
but it was something that was pleasing to the flesh. Do you hear
what I’m saying?
There have been people that I was with in my past, it seemed like
every time I turned around, they were blessing me. But at the
same time they were holding me in bondage. Because they were
not a part of God’s plan for my life. Can somebody identify with
me today?
We got a lot of single folks that go to this church, lot of single
folks. There are people that have been in our past that every time
we . . . All we had to do was say we want, and there it was. “Can
I have . . .” And there it . . .
. . . and they weren’t faithful, but they sure knew how to buy me
this and buy me that. Been there. Done that.
He’s speaking to us today. He’s speaking to us. What has you in
bondage? What is keeping you bound? What is keeping you
bound? The Bible said when they cried out, their cry came up to
heaven. And God delivered them.
If you need a deliverance today, then you need to open up your
mouth and cry, “Jesus!” The Bible says that He is ever-present
help in the time of trouble.
A lot of single women with children, a lot of them are on welfare.
You want to know why? Because we got negroes that won’t take
care of their children. And a mother has got to take care of her
children while they’re at a certain age before they can go to
school. Because, sweetheart, once they’re in a place where they
can go to Head Start and go to school, then you need to go out
and look for a job. Oh, you don’t want to hear me.
Sometimes things we don’t want to say, because sometimes
seem like they cut and they hurt. But see, if somebody doesn’t
give us truth, then you’ll always live in a false reality. Amen,
somebody. Amen.
There is something, something that can be done. Because there
was a woman that told me, she said that she didn’t have any food,
because she didn’t have a job, and she was looking for a job. And
she went to the government. She went to the system. And she
went to try to get some stamps. She said, “I don’t have any food.”
They said, “Well, what do you have?”
Said, “Well, I have a car.”
They told her, “You need to sell your car.”
“Wait a minute. What kind of foolishness is that? The only means
to get around to go and look for a job . . . Because I have this car
you’re saying that I am not in need?”
The system wants to control. I’m just trying to break it down to
you. The system wants to control you. See, I wanted to bring
some of you all . . . I wanted to bring you out.
He wants to control you. Come out of it. Pray about it. Pray
about it. See, when you’re sick or, you know, your body’s going
through and you need some type of assistance, I’m not talking
about that. That’s not what . . . I’m not talking . . . There are a lot
of people that are disabled that just can’t do any better. Amen,
somebody. Amen. But when I can, then I should. Oh, I feel the
Anointing of God on me today.
I want to edify you today that He that began this good work in you
is faithful to perform it unto the day of Jesus Christ. He began a
good work in you. He’s not going to leave the work in you
unfinished. He’s going to what? Perfect everything that concerns
you. You see, He’s a rewarder of the diligent. When I’m diligent,
then God’s going to begin to work. See, God is looking for
consistency. That’s why I tell you, you know, even today a lot of
people are not at church, right? But I tell you, I say, “Saints,” I
say, “You need to come to the house. You need to get the Word.
You need to apply the Word.”
I don’t try . . . I give you revelation, but I don’t try to take it so
deep, when you leave out of here, you be like, “I don’t know what
pastor was talking about.” Because the Bible says that the
Gospel is supposed to be preached with simplicity. I need to be
able to apply this to my life.
So wherever you are today you need to make up in your mind that
if you’re operating in the system and you’re depending on the
system, that you’re going to get rid of that god, because he’s not
the true and living God. He’s not. The system is not. It’s not the
real god. Jehovah is the real God. His Son Jesus is the real God.
The Holy Spirit of promise that is right here with us today, that
Jesus sent His Name to lead us and to guide us into all truth, He
is God. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit,
they all agree in one. They are one. Does that make any sense
to the carnal mind? No.
How many of you are tired of the system? I just want to see your
hand. If you’re tired of the system . . . I mean, be real about it.
You can’t change anything until you get tired of it. We won’t
change until we’re tired . . . You know, if we’re tired of something,
we’ll change it, won’t we? When we get tired of that husband or
that wife, we’ll change . . . No, I ain’t going there like that. That
ain’t right, pastor.
I’m saying these things to bring us into reality. We’ve been bound
for too long. We’ve been in bondage for too long. I’m the type of
person, I like to be free. I like to be free. I like to be free. I like to
be free. I don’t like to be all stressed out. I don’t like to be . . .
Uh, uh. Don’t stress me.
I have people come to me, and I look at them, and I look right
through them, and I know that they’re coming really to try to stress
me. And so I listen, but I don’t take it in. I listen, but I don’t . . .
Do you hear what I’m saying? I listen, but I don’t take it in,
because you ain’t going to stress me, because I’m not your god.
I’m not.
He said to cast your cares upon Him, because He cares for you.
I’ve got to cast . . . I’ve got to learn how to throw it on Him.
The other night . . . And I’m getting ready to close. The other
night I was in my bedroom, laying in my bed, praying, you know.
And God just brought something to me. It was like, “You know,
just cast everything on Me.”
So everything that I felt it was a burden to me, I began to cast it
on Him. I said, “Lord, I give You this. Lord, I give You that. Lord,
I give You this. Lord, I just give them to you.”
There are things that you need to give Him that you love. You just
need to . . . It’s become a burden. “Lord, I give it to you.” Does
that mean that, you know, He’s not, that I don’t need it any more?
No. Because even people . . . Listen. And I’m going to take you
here, and I’m going to . . . Even people can be a burden to you.
Even the people that you love . . . You don’t want to hear that,
because . . . I know the married folks are probably sitting like this,
on the inside they’re saying, “Pastor, you’re right.” No, I’m
messing with you all. See, I’m trying to loosen you up, because
you’re supposed to have liberty in the house of God. Amen.
When we get out there, we laugh and we joke. We come to the
house of God and . . . I know they didn’t move. I know they didn’t
say amen. Uh, uh. Be free. Be free. Be free. Be free.
But like I said, even people can become a burden. It doesn’t
mean that you don’t love them. But sometimes some of the things
that they say and some of the things that they do can cause you
to be burdened, can cause heaviness to come on you. You need
to give them to the Lord. It’s not always, well, you need to sever
relationships. No. It’s not. Sometimes you’re trying to be their
god. Sometimes you’re trying to control. Them. Sometimes you
want them to move at your pace, when God has already set a
pace for them to move by. I’m being real with you today. We
want people where we are. Let God move with them. Let God do
with them. If God needs to whip them, guess what, He’ll tear that
tail out, won’t He? He will. Better than you can with your mouth.
So today there’s one-way deliverance, and it’s through Jesus.
Jesus said, “I am the way.” He said, “I am the door.” He’s the
door. And He said when we find Him we can go in and out and
find pasture. He doesn’t try to keep us all bound up. We can go
in and out. We can be free.
Now if your mind is stuck on a bill this morning, or if your mind is
stuck on, you know, your financial situation, or your mind is stuck
on a person that’s just not, you know, doing what you want them
to do, then you need to cast that care on the Lord today.
If you’re on a job, and you’re tired of this job, then that means that
you need to give that job to the Lord. See, don’t complain about
the job if, you know, if you’re not making steps to move from that
job. Hello, somebody. If you’re not trying to do something to
move from it, then evidently you’re not that tired of it. But it’s
when you begin to make steps to move from that place that’s
keeping you bound and in bondage, then God can move for you.
Faith without what? Works is dead. One-way deliverance. Give
God praise today.
