Second Corinthians chapter three. And we’re going to look at
verse thirteen through verse eighteen. Second Corinthians
chapter three, verse thirteen through verse eighteen.
And when you get there, please signify by saying amen. And
would you please stand for the reading of God’s holy Word?
And in verse thirteen it says,
13. And not as Moses, which put a vail over his face, that the
children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that
which is abolished:
14. But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth
the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old
testament; which vail is done away in Christ.
15. But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is
upon their heart.
In other words, they have a veil of unbelief upon their hearts.
16. Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall
be taken away.
17. Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the
Lord is, there is liberty.
18. But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the
glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory
to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
Let us pray.
Most holy and gracious heavenly Father, we thank You for
who You are and for what You do. Father, hide Your son
behind the cross, that Your people would see You and not me.
Dear Lord, as I decrease, Father, I ask that You would
increase. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of
my heart be acceptable in Thy sight, oh Lord, my strength and
my Redeemer. In Jesus’ Name, amen.
You may be seated in the house of God tonight.
In verse thirteen it says,
18. But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the
glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory
to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
You see, our growth in God is progressive. The Spirit of God
is in the business of changing us from one degree of glory to
another degree of glory. This is not just any kind of change.
And this is not a change that applies to everybody.
But to be a recipient of this kind of change, you have got to
cooperate with the agent of transformation. And the agent of
transformation is the Holy Spirit.
Without (glory to God) cooperation, there will be no
transformation. Let me say that again. Without any
cooperation, there will be no transformation. In other words,
there will be no more levels in God that you would be able to
obtain, unless you decide to cooperate with the Holy Spirit.
Come on. Give God some praise.
What many churches right now are experiencing, they’re
experiencing an outpouring of the Spirit of God. And God’s
purpose is to change His people. And just like she prophesied
tonight, God is bringing a wave of change.
You see, there’s a difference in having a revival and having a
move of God. A lot of revivals are mistaken (glory to God)
for a move of God. And a lot of move of God’s are mistaken
for a revival. But in this season there is a move of God that is
coming to the church. And in order to receive it, you and I
have got to learn how to cooperate with the Holy Ghost. Give
God some praise.
These moves of God are not just being sent in order to show
us a good time. These moves of God are coupling from what
we call an open heaven. And because the heavens have been
open upon us, that is why there is joy. That is why there is
laughter. That is why there is dancing.
But just because there are all of these things, it does not mean
that after an hour or two I’m to go back out the door of the
house of God and have a dead existence. You see, my
existence is not only to be alive in the house of God. But it’s
to be alive outside of the house of God.
The move of God is on the way.
The Bible talks about the spirit of apostasy. The spirit of
apostasy means that there will be a great falling away from
the church. You see, in these last days even though there is a
move of God, there will still be an apostasy spirit that will
come into the house of God. And there will be those that will
fall from (glory to God) the house of God.
The Bible declares it that it shall happen. It will happen.
Amen and amen and amen. So be it. And it will happen.
But in the move of God, for those that catch the Anointing,
for those that learn how to get into the flow, there will be the
blessing of the Lord that maketh rich and addeth no sorrow
with it.
You see, I’m not one to jump on ban wagons. I remember
when they started talking about this is my year of jubilee. But
by the end of the year they were the same way that they
started last year. Come on. Talk to me tonight.
But I know (glory to God) that the Bible says that He will do
nothing except He reveal it unto His servants the prophets.
And I know I’ve heard from God. There’s a move of God
that’s coming into the house of God.
And you and I have got to learn how to cooperate with the
Holy Ghost. Cooperation is the key to transformation.
God ain’t concerned with a lot of the things that we’re
concerned about. Oh, come on. Talk to me tonight. God is
concerned with getting His purpose and His plan through the
earth. God is concerned with the wave and the move of the
Holy Spirit in the earth, to convict the hearts of sinners to
come to Christ. That’s your objective. That’s my objective,
to get somebody saved.
I’m not living in a defeated existence. I have victory in
Christ. My victory is not connected to the atmosphere. Come
on. Talk to me.
You may be in an atmosphere of hell that’s going all around
you. But you still got victory. Come on. Give God some
praise. You have got to learn how to cooperate and yield
yourself to the Holy Ghost. And whatever the Holy Ghost
says, that’s what goes. And whatever the Holy Ghost leads, I
will follow. Somebody.
The windows of heaven are open. Because God is bringing a
change to us. And the Power of God will always change you
when you learn how to yield to Him. The key word here is to
yield.
Look at your neighbor and say, “I will yield to God.”
You see, a lot of us are so concerned about man. Come on.
Talk to me. I ain’t concerned about man. I’m concerned
about yielding to God.
And when I yield to God, I’m going to do whatever the Spirit
tells me to do. I’m going to give honor to... Oh, come on.
Talk to me. ...to whom honor is due. I’m going to give
reverence to whom reverence is due. Because I’ve got the
Spirit of God on the inside of me. And I’m cooperating with
Him.
When we look at the word “to yield,” it means to give up
possession on claim or demand. The Holy Ghost has made a
claim and a demand on you. He... You don’t hear me
because you don’t want to hear this.
But the Holy Ghost has made a claim on you. He’s made a
stake on you. He’s put His mark on you. Come on. Talk to
me. He’s demanded that you give up yourself and allow the
Spirit of God to be God on the inside of you.
He’s looking for somebody that’s going to yield to Him. He’s
not looking for somebody that’s yielding to their situation.
He’s looking for somebody that’s yielding to Him. He’s
looking for somebody that at His Presence, tears will flow
down their face, at the Presence of God.
Yielding causes you to receive outpouring of God’s Spirit.
And to the degree that we yield, that’s how much we will
receive of Him.
You see, everybody’s not going to receive the same level of
the Spirit of God. You see, I can look at some of your faces
and tell that there’s something going on. But see, I should be
able to look at your face and see nothing but Glory. Nothing
but Glory. He’s changing us from glory to glory. Glory to
glory.
Does this word mean anything to you? Are you just in the
thing just trying to get a blessing? Are you like the woman
that even wants the crumbs off the table? I don’t want the
crumbs. He didn’t promise me the crumbs. He promised me
the whole table. He said there’s a table set before me. He
said I can dine at the table.
If I will yield myself to Him, if I will yield to Him, He’d take
care of everything for me.
Turn in your Bibles to Romans chapter six.
See, the time is coming... And I’m going to tell you this.
Those that don’t keep their hearts right... You remember
Ananias and Sapphira? Their heart wasn’t right.
And so we’re so used to God being a loving God. But let me
tell you something. I know you prayed that it wouldn’t
happen, Brother Nate. But you going to see folk drop dead in
the church. You going to see it. And if I be a prophet and a
man of God, you going to see folks drop dead in the church
and go straight to hell.
God is not playing. I have spoken too many words that have
come to pass for me not to know when God is speaking to me.
And I know that God is speaking.
If you and I don’t keep our hearts right, if there’s iniquity
found in us, He’ll say, “Depart from me.” He’ll say, “I don’t
even know you.”
Do you want to risk going to hell? I dare not risk it, not for a
moment.
The Lord spoke to me and He said, “Walk in humility.”
I say, “Lord, my flesh.”
He said, “I command you to walk in humility.”
Some of you all looking at me like I’m just talking. I know I
spent time with God on my face. God is requiring of folks to
have the real love of God in their hearts. Not no fake. Not
nothing conditional. But something that’s unconditional.
Something that’s real. That’s what God wants.
And all this pity pat love, “I love you today, but I can’t stand
you tomorrow...” I don’t even know why I’m going there.
God is looking for somebody that’s willing to be crucified.
See, we say we want to be crucified. And we’re dying, and
we’re dying. But once we start getting crucified, we want to
come down off the cross. I don’t know why I’m going here,
Jesus.
We get mad at everybody and anybody, just for the sake of
being mad. Who am I preaching to today?
It ain’t God. (Tongues.) It’s not God. It’s not God to pick
and choose who we love. It’s not God to pick and choose
who can be in our circle. It ain’t God. It ain’t God. It ain’t
God. It ain’t God.
See, you know... Let me tell you the test that you’ll have, and
you’ll know that you got the love of God in you. When
there’s a person that don’t nobody else you can find that
really like, and can’t nobody else stand to be around them, but
they feel comfortable being around you... Oh, you better
listen to this. They have found the true love of God.
When everybody else can’t stand them, but they done found
something about you that has drawn them, and you can see
everybody turn up their nose at them, that’s when you know
you really got the love of God. Oh, you don’t want to talk to
me. That’s your test.
See, but if your love, the love of God in you ain’t real, then
you’ll pick and choose who you can even stand and talk to for
a little while. Come on. Talk to me. Because you’re not
yielded to the Holy Ghost. You’re not yielded yet. You think
you’re yielded, but you’re really not.
But when you are truly yielded, you can know folks that got
the nastiest attitude, and they still want to be around you.
And don’t nobody else want to be around them. But they
drawn to you. That means your love is real.
Because that type of person has tested your love. And they
have even tried to push buttons with you that they have
pushed with other folks, that cause other folks to be removed
from them. But even though they tried to push them same
buttons with you, didn’t nothing work. And you kept loving
on them anyway. That’s when your love is real. You’re
really yielded. You’re really cooperating with the Spirit of
God.
In Romans chapter six, look at verse thirteen. It says,
13. Neither yield ye your members as instruments of
unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as
those that are alive from the dead, and your members as
instruments of righteousness unto God.
Now look at verse nineteen.
19. I speak after the manner of men (He’s reiterating what he
had said before) because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as
ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to
iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members
servants to righteousness unto holiness.
Each and every day there are two opposing forces applying
pressure to your will and to your flesh. And I, you and I will
either yield to one, or we’ll yield to the other. There’s the
pressure of iniquity and unrighteousness. And by yielding to
these forces, it brings the power of death to bear in your life.
Then there’s the pressure of righteousness, a vital prerequisite
for a companion to the Anointing. You see, righteousness is a
companion of the Anointing. And as you walk in
righteousness, there will be more Anointing in your life.
But when you are not walking in righteousness, you will feel
as though there is no Anointing in your life. Because you
have yielded your vessel unto unrighteousness, unto iniquity.
But God is saying yield your vessel unto righteousness. And
you will be in the flow of the Holy Ghost. When you yield to
it, what is called the Zoe life, the kind of life comes into your
situation.
Go to Romans chapter five. And look at verse twenty-one.
21. That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace
reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ
our Lord.
The more you and I yield to be obedient to God’s Spirit, you
and I will be changed from one degree of glory to another
degree of glory.
How many of you are willing to yield? Are you willing to
yield to the Holy Spirit? You got to be truthful. If you’re not
willing to yield, then don’t lift up your hand. But if you’re
willing to yield, lift your hands to Him.
Whatever He tells me, that’s what I’m going to do. I don’t
care what my flesh says. I’m going to do it. I’m going to
yield to Him. Whatever He says, that’s what I’m going to do.
I’m going to yield to Him, as a vessel of righteousness.
You see, when you are a man or woman of God, God will ask
hard things of you. And not only will He ask them of you.
He will command that you do them. But see, if you’re really
yielded, you’ll know that it’s all going to work together for
your good.
Ask yourself that question, “Am I really yielded to the Holy
Ghost? Or am I just yielded when I come to church? Or am I
yielded at home? Am I yielded to Him when I’m on the
street? Am I yielded to Him when they give me a dirty look
like they’re better than me?” Are you afraid of that? Are you
really yielded?
When you go through the drive thru and they have an attitude
are you yielded? I had to work on that one. I did. Pastor
Adrienne would say, “Oh, oh, oh, oh. Hold up, now.”
“But you just... Why they working the drive thru if they got
an attitude?”
Every aspect of our lives we’ve got to yield to Him in. You
may not be in a situation that you want to be in. But if He is
allowing you to be in that situation, yield to Him. Don’t try to
have your way. Because a man’s ways will lead to
destruction. (Tongues.)
Let Him have His way. Let Him have His way. People of
God, let Him have His way in your life. I know that you’ve
got needs, but let Him have His way.
He made promises to us. He promised that He would take
care of you. Now those of you that don’t have cars and you
need cars, let me tell you something.
I told most of you the story about when we lived in Atlanta,
and you know, we had Joshua and Loren. And I think Kelly...
Kelly was just born. Just getting ready to be born. And I had
a Sunbird. And that Sunbird broke down.
And I got on my knees and I prayed. And it was from my
heart. I said, “Lord, if You don’t give me a new car I’m not
going to be able to get to Your house.” And I meant that
thing. That was... That’s all I was concerned about, getting
to His house.
So I called up my credit union. And I told them, I said, “I
need a new car.” And I didn’t know what was going to
happen. Glory to God. She said, “Okay. I’ll call you back.”
So she called me back. And she said, “Go pick out the car
you want.” Oh, you don’t hear me. Didn’t have to put no
money down. Do you hear what I’m saying? Had a brand
new 1995 Taurus, big enough for me and my family.
I’m testifying because somebody need to hear this. The very
next year we had put like... In one year we had put like thirty
thousand miles on that Taurus. It was brand new when we
got it.
Next year Pastor Adrienne said, “Well, you know, we need to
trade this in.” She said, “Well, I want...” I was looking at the
Tauruses again. She said, “No. I want a van.” I was like,
“Oh, God.” We had three children.
Got to the dealer. The dealer pulled up my credit report. Me
and Pastor Adrienne were waiting in the man’s office. And
he went to talk to his manager. And he told us come on
outside with him. And he drove us to another lot. And there
were nothing but brand new 1996 Windstar vans out there.
Oh, come on. Talk to me.
Got back to the office. And they said, “How much you going
to put down?”
I said, “Nothing.” I said, “All I’m going to do is trade in this
green Taurus right here.”
They said, “Okay. Let us drive it. Let us appraise it.” We
had took it to get it cleaned before we got there. Because we
had kids. So there was french fries and stuff down in the
seats. So they drove it.
And it had been in an accident before. But in the front. And
but when they had fixed it, you could never tell it had been in
an accident. They never asked us, so we never told them that.
Oh, you don’t hear me, do you?
Went inside his office. Sat down. And then they said they
going to try to work out a deal with me. Then it was time to
do the financing. So they called me into another room. And I
sat with the general, the manager of the dealership. And just
me and him one on one. He said, “Well, you’re going to have
pay this amount.”
I said, “Nope. Can’t pay that amount.”
Said, “Well, you going to have to pay this amount.”
I said, “Nope. Can’t pay that amount.”
Said, “Well, we going to have to pay this amount.”
I said, “Mm.”
He said, “Well, you can pay this.”
I said, “Oh, yeah. I can do that.”
Signed the papers, and it was ours. You better give God some
praise.
I’m not finished yet. Didn’t put no money down. Same
weekend. That was Pastor Adrienne. She needed something
to drive. So she got a brand new 1996 Windstar.
Went to another lot. And I wanted a truck. So I went out
there. And we were looking around on the lot and everything.
And then finally I found the truck that I wanted, because I
knew that Nissans were good trucks. Before you all saw it it
was real nice. It had the back plate on it and everything. But
somebody stole it.
So went inside. Sat down. Same routine. “How much you
going to put down?”
Said, “Nothing.” But this time I didn’t have a trade in. Come
on. Talk to me now.
So he said, “Let me go talk to my manager.”
I said, “Okay.”
So he went and talked to his manager. He said, “Alright.
You’ve been approved by four credit.” Come on. Give God
some praise.
In the same weekend we got two vehicles, in one weekend,
with no money down.
Well you say, “Your credit must have been A1. No. It wasn’t
my credit. It was my name. Listen at what I’m telling you. I
had a good relationship with my bank.
And even at Christmas time I could go and I could call my
bank and tell them I needed a thousand dollars. And they
would come and say, “Come on.” And I would go in the
bank. And I would sign my name. And they would give me a
thousand dollars for Christmas. Come on. Talk to me
tonight.
God had given me favor with the bank. He had given me
favor where I could walk in the bank and tell them what I
needed.
And I’m not saying this to anybody to brag on me. But I’m
telling you about what God can do, what God can do.
Why do you want what you want? Why do you want what
you want? I had to do the work of the Lord, so I had to have
transportation. And she was going one way, and I was going
another way. So we had to have two vehicles.
Listen. I’m saying this to you all for a reason. I may have
been able to go in a place at that particular time and get what I
wanted and that type of thing and God move. But sometimes
you may go into a place and they will turn you down. I have
been turned down before.
But even with this new 2002, went into the place. Come on,
somebody. I told Pastor Adrienne, “I’m just going in here.”
We got to the place. I just went in. I said, “Whatever.”
He said, “Fill out this form.” He was real nice. He said, “Fill
out this form.” I filled out the form and everything. And he
looked at it like, “This all the money you make?” Oh, you all
don’t want to talk to me. He said, “Alright. We going to see
what we can do.” And right now we have a 2002 Ford
Windstar outside. Come on. Give God some praise.
See, when you’re going to get something, when you’re going
to obtain something, you have got to go in knowing that it is
not you.
I know the same things have happened to Elder Tucker with
the different vehicles he has had. He’s got some of them for a
little bit of nothing. He’s gotten vehicles just by going in a
place to eat a hot dog. Hallelujah. Amen.
God will give... God will give You favor. You tell the Lord,
“Lord, this is why I need it. I got to have it, Lord. This is
why. I don’t just want a mansion so that, you know, I can go
around preaching, ‘I’m prosperous.’ I want a mansion
because when the preacher’s come in town they’ll have a
place to stay.” Do you hear what I’m saying?
“I need it, Lord. I need that extra house for the saints that
come in for the conference. That’s why I need to own that
hotel.” Oh, come on. Talk to me. “So I can give them rates
that they can afford. And those that can’t afford to pay, Lord,
give me enough faith, give me enough prosperity wheres they
can come and stay free.”
That’s why you need prosperity, to sow into the Kingdom, to
sow into the Kingdom. Not just to make a better life for
yourself, but that you can sow into the Kingdom of God.
That’s what it’s all about.
Sometimes I give folks money. And they don’t even know
why I’m giving it to them. I don’t know why I’m giving it to
them either. It ain’t like I got a whole bunch. But God just
prompts my spirit, “Just give it to them. Five, ten, whatever.
Just give it to them.”
“Get you some gas or something.”
“Yea, Lord.”
But I’m sowing into the Kingdom.
And some of you that keep the prophet’s children and keep
other folk children, you got blessings coming. You got
blessings coming.
I know the hour’s late. But I don’t know why, but I needed to
say these things tonight. Because a lot of us, you know, we
have needs.
But we’re not praying to God right. The Bible says you ask
and you have not. You have not because you ask not.
Because when you ask you ask amiss to consume it upon your
own lusts. Oh, my God, my God. So that somebody can look
at you in that 2003 Mercedes Benz. So they can say that you
are somebody.
But have it so you can go to lunch with the other ministers in
town, so you can bring them, bring us all together. Lord, I
want this car so all the ministers can ride. We’ll be all stuffed
up in there. Look at that car full of ministers. Where they
going?
That’s the way it should be. That’s the way it should be.
That’s the way it should be. We need it. We need it for the
saints. We need it for the saints.
And if you’re somebody that’s blessed with like two cars and
three cars, don’t just bring yourself to church. Don’t just
bring you to church. Because when it’s time for you to get
another one, you got all that room in your vehicle. And you
just the only one riding up in there. And you can’t give
nobody else a ride. Come on. Talk to me. You don’t get
quiet on me.
Then when yours break down and you need a ride, you’ll see
now it feels not to have transportation.
One more little story. My little Sunbird. Pastor Adrienne will
tell you. I know that’s one of the reasons why I was able to
get two vehicles so easily. My little Sunbird would be
packed. I would even go pick up my friend from work at
three o’clock in the morning.
I didn’t care nothing about that. I mean, I cared about the car,
because God blessed me with it. But I didn’t care nothing
about that. I used it for God.
If you use something for God, God’s going to bless you. But
if you all stingy with it, how God going to bless you? I feel
some toes crumbling up, because I’m stepping all over them.
Come on. Give God some praise tonight. Hallelujah.
