If you would, turn in your Bibles with me, back to the book of
Genesis. Genesis chapter one. Genesis chapter one. Glory to
the Lord most high. And in Genesis chapter one, beginning
with verse twenty-seven through verse thirty one.
27. So God created man in his own image, in the image of
God created he him; male and female created he them.
28. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be
fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it:
and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl
of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the
earth.
29. And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb
bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every
tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed: to you it
shall be for meat.
30. And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the
air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein
there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it
was so.
31. And God saw that every thing that he had made, and,
behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning
were the sixth day.
Let us pray.
Most holy and gracious heavenly Father, we thank You for
who You are and for what You do. Father, I thank You, Lord,
that I’m hidden in the secret place of the Most High. Father, I
ask that the words of my mouth and the meditation of my
heart would be acceptable in Thy sight, oh Lord, my strength,
and my Redeemer.
Father, I thank You that we are surrounded by such a great
crowd of witnesses tonight, Father, God, angels in heaven that
want to look in on what we are doing, God. Father, we thank
You for it tonight. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
In verse twenty-six it said,
26. And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our
likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea,
and over the foul of the air, and over the cattle, and over all
the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon
the earth.
When God made man, a very important question we may ask
ourselves is, what was His intentions? What was His desire?
Glory to God. What was His motive?
Two things that I can assure you of is, number one, God did
not create man (glory to God, hallelujah) that man could have
the spirit of Satan in him. Hallelujah. God intended for His
Presence to be poured into man.
He never intended for His Presence to be shut up in the Ark of
the Covenant. He never intended for a priest to have to go
into the Holy of Holies once a year to make a sacrifice and
enter into His Presence.
But God created man so that He could pour His Presence into
man. Not only did He want the Glory to surround man. He
wanted His Glory on the inside of man.
In First Corinthians three and verse sixteen, it said, “Know ye
not that ye are the temple of God.”
Everywhere you look in the Old Testament (glory to God),
every time God was building a temple, every time God was
building a tabernacle, the reason He built it was so that His
Presence could be poured into that place.
Let me tell you something. The Bible says that we are the
temple of God. I don’t know about you, but greater is He
that’s on the inside of me than he that’s in the world. I want
the Glory in me.
He wanted to pour.
Now listen. We got all this walking going on. And this is on
tape. Have a seat. Have a seat. We’ll have no more walking.
Because we’re going to reverence the Holy Spirit. Don’t
think that’s cruel. But it’s real. Folks walking in and out the
doors. We’re not having it. Everyone have a seat where you
are. This is no different from any other church. Hello,
somebody.
He wanted His Presence to be poured into the temple. He did
not only want the Glory to be around the temple. But He
wanted His Glory on the inside of the temple.
When we look at our Bibles, man became hostile against God.
When the devil told man that, “You will be as god (small G),
knowing good and evil, what happened to man, was man
decided that he didn’t want the rule and dominion and the
control that God gave. Man wanted to fulfill his own destiny.
Focus. Would you rather fulfill your own destiny, or would
you rather have the Glory of God on the inside of you?
Would you rather have the Glory of God surrounding you? I
need the Glory. I don’t know about you. I want the Glory.
And I want walk in the Glory. I want to talk in the Glory.
When we look at Adam and Eve, they didn’t know anything
about being human. They only became human after their
disobedience.
You see, our old nature wants us to be human. Our old nature
wants us to say that we’re only human. But I beg to differ
with that. I’m more than human. I’m superhuman. I’m
supernatural, somebody. Because I got the supernatural One
on the inside of me.
God had already given man dominion and rule. But he
wanted more than that. When we look at man today, man is
not satisfied with knowledge and knowing. The Bible said his
ears are not satisfied with hearing and his eyes are not
satisfied with seeing. The more man gets the more man
wants.
But I don’t know about you, but I’m saved and satisfied. I’m
satisfied with my Jesus. I got Jesus, and He’s more than
enough to me.
The natural veils that hung in the temple represented the veil
of flesh that separates the Life of God living in our spirits
from the natural life of our souls.
If I don’t have Jesus on the inside of me, if I’m not allowing
my spirit to lead me instead of my soul, that meant that that
veil that hung in the temple (glory to God) of God is still
hanging on the inside of me. And it’s trying to block me from
being with my God.
In order for me to commune with Him right, that veil has got
to be ripped from the top to the bottom.
Lift up your hands to Jesus tonight.
On the inside of us we contain the Glory. I’ll say it once
again. It wasn’t meant to be in a box. It wasn’t meant for just
one man to experience. It was meant for all of us to
experience.
That’s why we need to be able to lift up holy hands without
wrath and without doubting. That’s why we need to praise
Him with the fruit of our lips. That’s why we need to give
Him all that we are, because He’s given us all that He is.
He wanted His Glory in us. But we wanted more than His
Glory. We wanted more than what He allowed us to control.
We wanted more than what He allowed us to rule and have
dominion over. We wanted our own destiny.
I don’t know about you tonight, but I know that He has a
purpose for me. And the purpose that He has for me is the
purpose that I’m leaping and jumping into. I’m not worried
about what my natural eyes see. I’m concerned with what my
spiritual eyes see. Because what’s Spirit (glory to God),
that’s what I want. Never mind the things of the flesh. I want
the things of the Spirit.
Man became hostile when he didn’t obey God. The Bible
says the carnal mind is enmity or hostile with God. In other
words, it’s the enemy of God. Man became God’s enemy.
Hostility in the body of Christ has been running rampant. We
get angry at every little thing. We get irritated at every little
thing that concerns us. But what about those things that
concern God? The Bible says that we need to be able to rise
up with righteous indignation. I need to be irritated at what
irritates Him. Never mind what irritates me.
I don’t want to be hostile. Because God’s environment is not
a hostile environment. Happiness, peace, and joy in the Holy
Ghost.
How come God’s people, we’re always upset? How come
we’re always angry? Because the Glory is not in us. When
the Glory is in you, it’ll make you sing. When the Glory’s in
you, it’ll make you shout. When the Glory’s in you, it’ll
make you dance. I don’t want no other spirit but the Holy
Spirit.
Saints of God, He wanted His Glory in us. Only the tearing
of the veil of flesh can bring the true revelation of the life of
Christ to our souls. Man’s disobedience, as we know, caused
death, ultimately caused man not to be able to commune with
God the way God intended.
If I don’t allow my flesh to be torn, I could never commune
with Him the way that He intended for me to commune with
Him. If I rather keep my flesh then I can’t keep my God. We
need to start getting rid of this old flesh. This old flesh is the
enemy of God. And God kicked those that were His enemy
out of the garden. Hallelujah. The enemy of God can’t stay
in the Presence of God.
It took Jesus dying on the cross to rebuild that bridge. A
divine purpose, a divine plan, to get us back into that place
where we could talk to Him and walk with Him in the cool of
the day, that I don’t need a man (glory to God) to go into that
place and make petitions for me. I can do it all by myself, on
a one on one basis, on a one on one relationship.
How important is that Glory to you? It was that Glory that
gave man dominion. See, if I don’t have that Glory in me,
I’m not ruling over anything. It’s all flesh. But when the
Glory’s on the inside of me, I don’t have to operate in flesh. I
can allow the Spirit to operate through me.
Lift up your hands to Jesus tonight.
With all of this, how is this and this possible, when in First
Corinthians two nine through sixteen it says that no flesh can
know Christ? How then can we know Him on the level that
God intended for us to know Him?
According to Hebrews four and twelve. It says, “For the
Word of God is quick and powerful, and sharper than any
two-edged sword, piercing even to dividing assunder of soul
and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of
the thoughts and intents of the heart.”
This dividing means that it’s a dividing on the inside. It’s
dividing that soul from the spirit.
When we look at the Holy Spirit, He fills. Not only does He
fill, but He reveals Christ in us. He allows Jesus to be
unveiled to us. Because we can’t see Him, except through the
Word of God.
This Word allows my mind to stop being hostile towards God.
The Holy Spirit indwells me and fills me, so that I don’t have
to walk in the flesh, but I can walk in the Spirit. And those
that walk in the Spirit do not fulfill the lusts of the flesh.
My mind and every part of me becomes His. I’m not my own
any more. I been bought with a price. The things I do, I don’t
do them for me any more. I do them for Him. And all I say
in word or deed, I do in the Name of the Lord Jesus, to bring
glory and honor to Him.
If we allow Him, He’ll go from one area to the next and keep
ripping that flesh. Where on the inside of you do you need to
be ripped? Where on the inside of you do you need to be
torn, so that Jesus can be revealed in that place? We allow
Him to be revealed in some areas of us, but in other areas we
don’t want Him to have nothing to do with that. But the more
I give up, the more He’ll come in.
Tonight do you want the Glory in you, or do you want hell in
you? Jesus is looking to get hell out of us. He’s looking to
take it out of us. Those things that cause us not to be like
Him, those things that cause us to have fits and tempter
tantrums, He wants to take those things out, that the Glory of
God would reside in us.
You may be somebody here tonight. You have not
experienced the Glory in you. It comes by accepting Jesus
Christ as your personal Savior.
You may be someone here that Christ was revealed to you,
but you lost your revelation, because you wanted to be like a
god (little G), to try to fulfill your own destiny.
But Jesus is waiting for you tonight. He wants to be revealed
in you. He wants to reveal Himself to you. He wants His
Glory to be poured into you, that there would be peace in your
life, that there would be joy in the midst of the storm.
Every head bowed, every eye closed tonight.
